BJP Projects offer a full range of Architectural and Construction services and hold relevant Professional Indemnity Insurance to cover each aspect of our work; such as:

Initial Meeting and Consultation.

After an enquiry has been received, we will arrange a site or property visit to discuss the brief and aspirations for your project. We will then issue a Project & Fee Proposal, confirming the brief and scope of work to be carried out, along with the services we propose to offer and itemised fee for each stage of work.

This is a free, no obligation service.


Measured Building Surveys.

Measured building surveys are normally carried out in house, where work is to be carried out to existing structures – Extensions or Alterations. If topographical site surveys and measured building surveys with Ordnance Survey levels are required we engage with our specialist land and building surveyors.


Feasibility and Conceptual Design.

We will produce a number of feasibility and conceptual design drawings inline with the brief provided, your aspirations and our experience in architectural design. Any possible constraints will also be identified at this point which can include: Local architectural vernacular and design guidelines, positions of drains and sewer pipes, proximity of tree’s, party walls etc.


Pre-Application Advice.

If deemed necessary, we can liaise with the Local Authority Planning department and submit a Pre-Application Enquiry where possible planning constraints and planning policies will be identified.


Detailed Design.

Once the feasibility and conceptual design drawings have reached a stage where the brief has been fulfilled, the drawings are worked up in further detail and of a sufficient standard in readiness to submit the relevant type of Planning Application.


Planning Application.
The drawings, specification and forms comprising the Planning Application will be submitted by BJP Projects on your behalf. All other associated written documentation is submitted and liaison with the Local Authority maintained, whilst keeping you updated, during the course of the application


Technical Design.

After Planning Permission has been granted, we will produce a set of technical working drawings along with a written specification. These drawings will be passed on to the Local Authority Building Control, or private Building Inspectors, where the drawings and written specification will be checked for compliance to current Building Regulations. These drawings will also be issued to other construction professionals, such as Structural Engineers and Energy Assessors.


Building Regulation Application.

BJP Projects will submit a Building Regulation application on your behalf and liaise with Building Control and all other professional consultants such as Structural Engineers, Utility Companies and Energy Assessors until full approval.


Construction.

Once all statutory approvals are in place, we can either offer to carry out the build as a main Contractor and appoint all necessary Sub-Contractors or liaise with any other selected Contractor, recommended by BJP Projects, or appointed by you. This service will also include for Tender Packages, Contract Administration, Site Inspections during Construction and Project Management.
